Pokémon popularity polls have always attracted many discussions, arguments and debates among fans, especially popularity polls from Japan. In this article, I’ll write about Gamewith’s official “Top 50 most popular Paldean Pokémon” poll. But what is Gamewith? Gamewith is a massive Japanese game guide site. It has news and guides, recommended teams, etc for many Japanese games including mobile games like Puzzle and Dragons. I personally visit the Puzzle and Dragons guides of Gamewith every week to see which characters I should pull and how to make strong teams. So back in December 2022, Gamewith conducted a popularity poll for Paldean Pokemon . By “Paldean Pokemon” , they mean Pokemon that are in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games, instead of just Gen 9 Pokemon. That’s why you can see some Pokemon that are not from Gen 9 but are in the poll.
